Forrest Gump ( Tom Hanks ) was born with leg paralysis and intellectual disability. Since childhood, he has been Mocked by his Friends, He finds support from his beloved mother ( Sally Field ), who supports him in difficult times, and his friend Jenny ( Robin Wright ), At one point of the movie Forrest starts running and regains straight of his legs while escaping for his pursuers. Then he accidentally ends up at a football team practice. His above-average speed is noticed, by his coach and he selects him in his team. Forrest gets into the College Football All-America Team. After graduation, he joins the army and goes on a mission to Vietnam. Gump’s only friend in the army is Bubba ( Mykelti Williamson ). Forrest becomes a football star, a hero of the Vietnam War, a ping-pong champion, travels the world, meets politicians and artists. Finally, he becomes an entrepreneur and gains a fortune.
